henchman question part 2
I'm in Yaks Bend now. The Henchmen there are lvl 8 to start. Has anyone ever done any quest there with them? I think they are becoming useless at this point. The mobs there are much higher lvl and when the healer dies, its all over. And the mobs go for her first every time.

The henchmen, in general, are not as good as a real character in that their AI's a little weak. Anet says that you can hench/hero all of the game on normal mode, so you may have to adjust your tactics.
As for the mobs going for the monk, that's all that unusual - The monk is usually the weakest, in terms of armor, and is a prime target. If you think about it, normally you'd do the same thing against PvE mobs; kill the healer, and then work outward from there. |

I'm with flameout on this, you can hench/hero your way through any campaign. It may take some time getting used to the henchies. Try different combinations of henchies to see which ones fit your build better and also a little build tweaking helps too. If this is your first time in yaks, then it's normal that adapting to henchies is a bit hard. I had some trouble adapting to the henchies the first time i went through prophecies. Second time though, henchies worked like a charm. The AI isn't perfect but it's still decent enough and you'll find there are some ways to take advantage of that AI.
